Join us in our mission to fight hunger by supporting local farms in Liberia!
About Us
Say No-To Hunger Farmers’ Multipurpose Cooperative Society (SNoTHFaMCo) is a Nimba County-based cooperative society dedicated to Mixed Farming which includes vegetable production, aggregation, animal husbandry (pork and goat farming), rice farming, oil palm, and provision of financial and technical support to its members.
This cooperative society was established with the aim of promoting sustainable agriculture practices and ensuring food security in the local community.
Our Engagements
Vegetable Production
SNoTHFaMCo takes immense pride in its vegetable production endeavors. Their greenhouses and open fields are adorned with a rich tapestry of vibrant vegetables.
Animal Husbandry
The cooperative is equally dedicated to the welfare of their livestock. Animal husbandry is a cornerstone of their operations, with a focus on pork and goat farming.
Rice Farming
In a region where rice is a staple food, SNoTHFaMCo plays a significant role in local rice farming. They meticulously cultivate rice paddies by adopting modern techniques.
Oil Palm Production
Recognizing the immense potential of oil palm, SNoTHFaMCo has ventured into oil palm production. Oil palms yield versatile products such as palm oil and palm kernel oil.
Aggregation
Our role as an aggregator is crucial in the agricultural supply chain. We bring together the products of small-scale farmers and coordinate their distribution to local and regional markets.
Financial & Technical Assistance
In a region where rice is a staple food, SNoTHFaMCo plays a significant role in local rice farming. They meticulously cultivate rice paddies by adopting modern techniques.
Over a thousand local farmers
Currently, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Cooperative is implementing the production of locally grown rice on 505.29 hectares of lowland for 81 farming groups with a total membership of 4,337 farmers.
100% Organic
The benefits of 100% organic farming extend far beyond the farm gate. Organic farms create jobs in rural communities, support local economies, and contribute to a more sustainable food system. By choosing organic, we’re not just investing in our health; we’re investing in the health of the planet and the future of agriculture.
